The Book of the Law (Liber AL vel Legis)
Liber AL vel Legis is the foundational text of Thelema, which Aleister Crowley said was dictated to him in Cairo in April 1904 by a being named Aiwass. Its three chapters, attributed to Nuit, Hadit and Ra-Hoor-Khuit, proclaim a new aeon and the maxim 'Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.' Short and cryptic, it is the essential primary source for understanding Thelema and Crowley's subsequent work.
