Every age produces new religions, and the last two centuries have produced many. This section covers religious movements founded since about 1800, among them the Latter-day Saints, the Bahá'í Faith, Christian Science, Seventh-day Adventism, Jehovah's Witnesses, Rastafari, Cao Đài, Tenrikyo and the Japanese new religions, Neopaganism and the Unification Church, with attention to how scholars study new religions and to the debates over 'cults' and conversion.
