The 72 Spirits of the Ars Goetia
Cimejes (Kimaris)
66th spirit of the Ars Goetia · Marquis · 20 legions
Cimejes, also Cimeies or Kimaris, is the sixty-sixth spirit, a mighty, great, strong and powerful marquis of 20 legions. He appears as a valiant warrior riding a goodly black horse. The Goetia says he rules over all spirits in the parts of Africa, teaches grammar, logic and rhetoric, and discovers things lost or hidden, including treasure. Weyer lists him as Cimeries with the same African dominion. The Commons file uses the spelling Cimeies from the 1904 plates.
