Heptameron Conjuration of Monday
Heptameron, "Considerations" of the day (pseudo-Peter of Abano; Robert Turner's English 1655)
The Heptameron gives a short conjuration and a table of "considerations" for each day of the week. For Monday, the angels of the day are Gabriel, Michael and Samael, and the angels of the air are ruled by the king Arcan with his ministers Bilet, Missabu and Abuzaha, under the west wind. The perfume is aloes. The Monday conjuration invokes the angels of the first heaven and the Moon, and the operator follows the same order of benediction of the circle, exorcism of the fire and vesting. Its circle, three rings nine feet wide, carries in the middle ring the name and angel of the hour, the angels of the day, and the names of the season, its ruling spirits, the earth, the Sun and the Moon; the outer ring names the king and ministers of the air.
Purpose
The text says Monday's spirits give silver, carry things from place to place, make horses swift and reveal the secrets of persons present and future.
