Heptameron Conjuration of Tuesday
Heptameron, "Considerations" of the day (pseudo-Peter of Abano; Robert Turner's English 1655)
The Heptameron gives a short conjuration and a table of "considerations" for each day of the week. For Tuesday, the angels of the day are Samael, Satael and Amabiel, and the angels of the air are ruled by the king Samax with his ministers Carmax, Ismoli and Paffran, under the east wind. The perfume is pepper. The Tuesday conjuration addresses the angels of the fifth heaven under Mars, recited within the consecrated circle after the general exorcism. Its circle, three rings nine feet wide, carries in the middle ring the name and angel of the hour, the angels of the day, and the names of the season, its ruling spirits, the earth, the Sun and the Moon; the outer ring names the king and ministers of the air.
Purpose
The text attributes to Tuesday's spirits power over war and soldiers, and over sickness and health; their harmful offices are reported here only as the text's claims.
