The 72 Spirits of the Ars Goetia
Gusion
11th spirit of the Ars Goetia · Duke · 40 legions
Gusion, the eleventh spirit, is a great and strong duke of 40 legions. The Goetia says he appears 'like a Xenophilus', a word whose meaning was obscure even to its editors and has been read by some editors as a garbling of cynocephalus, a dog-headed baboon. He tells all things past, present and to come, answers every question, reconciles friendships and gives honour and dignity. Weyer gives him under the spelling Gusoyn.
