Samigina, also called Gamigin, is the fourth spirit, a great marquis ruling 30 legions. He appears first as a little horse or ass and then takes human shape when commanded, speaking with a hoarse voice. The text credits him with teaching the liberal sciences and with giving an account of the souls of those who died in sin. In Weyer's Pseudomonarchia Daemonum he appears as Gamigyn with a similar description. The seal printed in the 1904 Goetia is based on the Sloane manuscript tradition and is among the simpler designs in the series.
