In Search of the Miraculous
P. D. Ouspensky's account of his years studying with G. I. Gurdjieff in Russia between 1915 and 1918, published after his death. It presents Gurdjieff's teachings on the Fourth Way, including self-remembering, the idea that humans are machines, the law of three, the law of seven, the ray of creation and the enneagram. It is widely regarded as the clearest and most systematic exposition of Gurdjieff's ideas.
