The Third Eye
A best-selling book presented as the memoir of a Tibetan lama whose third eye was opened by an operation on his forehead. In 1958 its author was identified as Cyril Henry Hoskin of Devon, who had never been to Tibet; it is now studied as a key document of Western fantasies about Tibet.
