The 72 Spirits of the Ars Goetia
Botis
17th spirit of the Ars Goetia · President and Earl · 60 legions
Botis, the seventeenth spirit, is a great president and earl ruling 60 legions. He first appears as an ugly viper and then, when commanded, takes human shape with great teeth and two horns, carrying a sharp sword. The Goetia credits him with telling things past and to come and with reconciling friends and foes. Weyer lists him as Botis or Otis. His seal is among the plates of the 1904 edition.
