The 72 Spirits of the Ars Goetia
Focalor
41st spirit of the Ars Goetia · Duke · 30 legions
Focalor, also called Forcalor or Furcalor, is the forty-first spirit, a mighty and strong duke ruling 30 legions. He appears as a man with the wings of a gryphon. The Goetia describes his power over the winds and seas, saying he drowns men and overthrows ships of war, but that he will harm no one if commanded not to. He is said to hope to return to the seventh throne after a thousand years. Weyer gives a similar account. His seal is reproduced from the 1904 edition.
