The 72 Spirits of the Ars Goetia
Furfur
34th spirit of the Ars Goetia · Earl · 26 legions
Furfur, the thirty-fourth spirit, is a great and mighty earl of 26 legions. He appears as a hart with a fiery tail, and the Goetia warns that he never speaks truly unless compelled within the triangle, where he takes the form of an angel with a hoarse voice. He causes love between man and woman, raises lightning, thunder and storms, and answers concerning secret and divine things. Weyer's entry is closely parallel. His seal appears among the plates of the 1904 Mathers and Crowley edition.
