Phaleg is the Olympic spirit of Mars in the Arbatel of Magic (1575) and governs 35 of the 196 Olympic provinces. True to the planet's martial correspondences, the Arbatel describes him as the ruler of things attributed to Mars and says that one who holds his character is raised to great honour in the affairs of war. The Arbatel's chronology places his period of government after Bethor's in the first millennium. The Commons image is a modern SVG redrawing of the character printed with his entry in the Arbatel.
