Second Pentacle of Mars

The Second Pentacle of Mars is said to serve with great success against all kinds of disease when applied to the afflicted part. Its letters spell YHVH, Yeheshuah and Elohim; the form Yeheshuah, the Tetragrammaton with a Shin inserted, was used by Christian Kabbalists to represent the name of Jesus. The versicle is from the Gospel of John, 'In Him was life, and the life was the light of man'. The Mars series reflects the planet's association with conflict, strength and protection from harm.
