First Pentacle of Mars

The First Pentacle of Mars, according to Mathers' text, is proper for invoking spirits of the nature of Mars, especially those whose names are written on it. Around its central mystical characters are the names of four angels written in Hebrew: Madimiel, Bartzachiah, Eschiel and Ithuriel. No scriptural versicle accompanies it. The Mars series reflects the planet's association with conflict, strength and protection from harm.
