The Pentacles of Solomon

Fourth Pentacle of Mars

Key of Solomon · Mathers 1889, fig. 28 · 4 of 7 · Psalm 110:5

The Fourth Pentacle of Mars is said to be of great virtue and power in war, wherefore it will give victory. It bears the name Agla at its centre, YHVH on its sides and El above and below. The versicle is Psalm 110:5, 'The Lord at thy right hand shall wound even kings in the day of His wrath'. The Mars series reflects the planet's association with conflict, strength and protection from harm.
