Sixth Pentacle of the Moon
Key of Solomon · Mathers 1889, fig. 54 · 6 of 6 · Genesis 7:11–12
The Sixth Pentacle of the Moon, the last of the forty-four pentacles in Mathers' edition, is said to cause heavy rains. It is composed of lunar mystical characters without divine or angelic names. The versicle is Genesis 7:11–12, 'All the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened, and the rain was upon the earth'. The six lunar pentacles deal largely with water, journeys, sleep and protection by night.
