Seventh Pentacle of Saturn
Key of Solomon · Mathers 1889, fig. 17 · 7 of 7 · Psalm 18:7
The Seventh Pentacle of Saturn is described as fit for exciting earthquakes, on the reasoning that the angelic orders named in it can make the whole universe tremble. Its compartments hold the names of the nine choirs of the Hebrew angelic hierarchy, from Chaioth ha-Qadesh, Auphanim and Aralim to Elohim, Beni Elohim and Kerubim. The versicle is Psalm 18:7, 'Then the earth shook and trembled'. Mathers prints the Saturn pentacles first, since Saturn heads the traditional planetary order.
