Agrippa's table of the Moon · 9×9 square · intelligence Malcah Betarsisim · spirit Hasmodai
The table of the Moon is a nine-by-nine square of the numbers 1 to 81, each line totalling 369 and the whole 3321. Agrippa gives the Moon an elaborate hierarchy: the spirit Hasmodai, a 'spirit of spirits' Schad Barschemoth ha-Schartathan and an 'intelligence of intelligences' Malcah Betarsisim hed Beruah Schehakim, each with its sigil, alongside the seal of the Moon. He describes the table as favouring travel, safety and the goodwill of others when made under a good Moon. It completes his descending sequence of seven planetary squares, from Saturn to the Moon.
