SSOTBME

An Essay on Magic

by Ramsey Dukes

Lionel Snell's philosophical essay, written as Ramsey Dukes, which treats magic, religion, science and art as distinct modes of thought, each with its own logic. Its refusal to judge magic as failed science made it an important precursor of chaos magick's attitude to belief. The joke title stands for 'Sex Secrets of the Black Magicians Exposed'.
