Published in 1908 under the pseudonym Three Initiates and commonly attributed to the New Thought writer William Walker Atkinson, The Kybalion presents seven principles it describes as Hermetic, including mentalism, correspondence and vibration. Despite its claims to ancient origin, its ideas reflect early twentieth-century New Thought more than classical Hermetic texts. It is widely read in modern occultism and is useful for studying how Hermeticism was reinterpreted in modern esoteric culture.
