The Tree of Life

The Palace of Adam Kadmon

by Chayyim Vital · Donald Wilder Menzi and Zwe Padeh (trans.)

This English translation presents the opening section of Etz Chayyim, Chayyim Vital's systematic record of Isaac Luria's teachings. It covers tzimtzum, the primordial human Adam Kadmon, the emanation of the worlds and the structure of the sefirot. Dense but foundational, it is for readers ready to study Lurianic Kabbalah from its central primary source rather than through summaries.
