First Pentacle of Mercury

The First Pentacle of Mercury is said to serve to invoke the spirits who are under the firmament. The letters in its design form the names Yekahel and Agiel. Like the first pentacles of several other planets, it carries no scriptural versicle and is concerned mainly with the spirits proper to its planet. The five pentacles of Mercury concern knowledge, communication and the opening of what is closed.
