Second Pentacle of Mercury
Key of Solomon · Mathers 1889, fig. 45 · 2 of 5
The Second Pentacle of Mercury is described as serving to bring about things that are contrary to the order of nature and not covered by other operations. Mathers' text says that the spirits it concerns answer readily but are difficult to perceive. The letters in it form the name Böel and other spirit names. No versicle is given. The five pentacles of Mercury concern knowledge, communication and the opening of what is closed.
