The Third Pentacle of Mercury, with the one that follows, serves to invoke the spirits subject to Mercury, especially those whose names are written on it. These are Kokaviel, Ghedoriah, Savaniah and Chokmahiel; Kokaviel derives from Kokab, the Hebrew name of the planet. It carries no versicle. The five pentacles of Mercury concern knowledge, communication and the opening of what is closed.
