Second Pentacle of the Moon
Key of Solomon · Mathers 1889, fig. 50 · 2 of 6 · Psalm 56
The Second Pentacle of the Moon is said to protect against all perils and dangers by water, and to stop storms and heavy rain stirred up by lunar spirits. It bears the name El and the angel Abariel. The versicle, from Psalm 56, reads 'In Elohim have I put my trust, I will not be afraid, what can man do unto me?' The six lunar pentacles deal largely with water, journeys, sleep and protection by night.
