Third Pentacle of the Moon
Key of Solomon · Mathers 1889, fig. 51 · 3 of 6 · Psalm 40:13
The Third Pentacle of the Moon is described as an amulet for travellers, guarding against attack by night and every danger by water. It bears the names Aub and Vevaphel. The versicle is Psalm 40:13, 'Be pleased O YHVH to deliver me, O YHVH make haste to help me'. The six lunar pentacles deal largely with water, journeys, sleep and protection by night.
