Fourth Pentacle of the Moon
Key of Solomon · Mathers 1889, fig. 52 · 4 of 6 · Jeremiah 17:18
The Fourth Pentacle of the Moon is said to defend against evil sorceries and all injury to soul or body, and its angel Sophiel is said to give knowledge of the virtues of herbs and stones. It bears the name Eheieh Asher Eheieh and the angel Yahel. Its versicle, from Jeremiah 17:18, begins 'Let them be confounded who persecute me'. The six lunar pentacles deal largely with water, journeys, sleep and protection by night.
