The Pentacles of Solomon

Fifth Pentacle of Saturn

Key of Solomon · Mathers 1889, fig. 15 · 5 of 7 · Deuteronomy 10:17

The Fifth Pentacle of Saturn is said to defend those who invoke the spirits of Saturn at night and to drive away spirits that guard treasure. It bears the names of four angels, Arehanah, Rakhaniel, Roelhaiphar and Noaphiel, with YHVH in the angles of its cross and Eloah in the square. The versicle comes from Deuteronomy 10:17, 'A great God, a mighty, and a terrible'. Mathers prints the Saturn pentacles first, since Saturn heads the traditional planetary order.
