Third Pentacle of the Sun
Key of Solomon · Mathers 1889, fig. 34 · 3 of 7 · Daniel 4:34
The Third Pentacle of the Sun is said to serve for acquiring kingdom and empire, for inflicting loss and for gaining renown and glory, especially through the name of God it contains. That name, the Tetragrammaton, is written twelve times in its design. The versicle is Daniel 4:34, 'My kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and my dominion endureth from age unto age'. The solar series combines divine names of majesty with the planet's associations with rule, renown and illumination.
