Sixth Pentacle of the Sun
Key of Solomon · Mathers 1889, fig. 37 · 6 of 7 · Psalms 69:23; 135:16
The Sixth Pentacle of the Sun is described as serving excellently for invisibility when correctly made. Three letters at the angles of its triangle form the name Shaddai, the opening words of Genesis surround it, and the letter Yod stands at its centre. Its versicles combine Psalm 69:23 and Psalm 135:16, beginning 'Let their eyes be darkened that they see not'. The solar series combines divine names of majesty with the planet's associations with rule, renown and illumination.
