The Seventh Pentacle of the Sun, the last of the series, is said to free anyone imprisoned or detained in fetters of iron. It names the rulers of the four elements, Ariel, Seraph, Tharshis and Cherub, together with the elemental names Chasan, Arel, Phorlakh and Taliahad. The versicle is Psalm 116:16–17, 'Thou hast broken my bonds in sunder; I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving'. The solar series combines divine names of majesty with the planet's associations with rule, renown and illumination.
