First Pentacle of Venus

The First Pentacle of Venus, with those that follow, serves according to Mathers' text to control the spirits of Venus, especially those whose names are written on it. Those names are Nogahiel, Acheliah, Socodiah (or Socohiah) and Nangariel, written in Hebrew around a central figure of mystical characters. It carries no scriptural versicle. Mathers gives five pentacles of Venus, most of them concerned with love, grace and favour.
