Fourth Pentacle of Venus
Key of Solomon · Mathers 1889, fig. 42 · 4 of 5 · Genesis 2:23–24
The Fourth Pentacle of Venus is described as of great power, compelling the spirits of Venus to obey and bringing a chosen person to the operator. YHVH stands at its four angles, and its other letters form names of spirits of Venus such as Schii, Eli and Ayib. The versicle is Genesis 2:23–24, 'This is bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh'. Mathers gives five pentacles of Venus, most of them concerned with love, grace and favour.
