The first English printing of the Rosicrucian manifestos, the Fama Fraternitatis and the Confessio, issued with a preface by the Welsh alchemist Thomas Vaughan under the name Eugenius Philalethes. Its account of the seven-sided tomb of Christian Rosenkreutz later inspired the Golden Dawn's Vault of the Adepti.
