The Light of the Eyes

Homilies on the Torah

by Menahem Nahum of Chernobyl · Arthur Green (trans.)

Arthur Green's complete annotated translation of Me'or 'Eynayim, one of the earliest and most influential works of Hasidic teaching, published by Stanford in 2021. Menahem Nahum's homilies on the weekly Torah portions develop themes of divine immanence, raising holy sparks and the inner life of prayer. An essential primary source for serious students of Hasidism and its Kabbalistic foundations.
