Published in London under the full title The Magus, or Celestial Intelligencer, this handbook reproduces much of Agrippa's occult philosophy, the Heptameron and related works, with engraved plates of seals and demons. It was the main English channel through which Renaissance ceremonial magic reached the nineteenth-century occult revival.
