The Pictorial Key to the Tarot

A. E. Waite's 1910 guide to the tarot deck he designed with the artist Pamela Colman Smith, now known as the Rider-Waite or Rider-Waite-Smith deck. Waite discusses the history and symbolism of the tarot, describes each card, and gives divinatory meanings and methods of reading. Because the deck became the most widely used in the English-speaking world, this book remains a basic reference for students of tarot symbolism.
