The Wisdom of the Zohar

An Anthology of Texts

by Isaiah Tishby · David Goldstein (trans.)

Isaiah Tishby's three-volume thematic anthology, translated by David Goldstein for the Littman Library, arranges Zohar passages under topics such as the Godhead, the Other Side, the Shekhinah, the soul, prayer and Torah. Each section opens with a long scholarly introduction that remains among the clearest expositions of Zoharic theology. For serious students it is still one of the best ways to see how the Zohar's scattered teachings form a coherent system.
