William Lilly's 1647 work was the first comprehensive textbook of astrology written in English. It covers the fundamentals of astrology, horary astrology for answering specific questions, and nativities, with numerous example charts. Lilly was one of the most prominent astrologers of seventeenth-century England, and his book remains a foundational text for the revival of traditional astrology among modern practitioners.
