Solomonic Magic & the Grimoires

The Old Testament Pseudepigrapha, Volume 1 (incl. Testament of Solomon)

by James H. Charlesworth · James H. Charlesworth (ed.)

The first volume of James H. Charlesworth's scholarly edition of Jewish and early Christian writings outside the biblical canon, focused on apocalyptic literature and testaments. It includes 1 Enoch, 2 Enoch, the Testaments of the Twelve Patriarchs and the Testament of Solomon, a key early source for Solomonic demonology. Each text has an introduction and annotated translation by specialists, making it an essential reference for the background of angelology, demonology and esoteric speculation.
