Opuscula Cypriani

Variations on the Book of Saint Cyprian and Related Literature

by José Leitão · José Leitão (trans.)

A collection of translated Cyprianic texts from Portugal, Spain, Brazil and elsewhere that show how widely the Book of St Cyprian varied from edition to edition. It includes prayers, exorcisms, treasure magic and demonological material, with introductions to each variant. A companion to Leitão's earlier translation, valuable for readers comparing the many versions of one of the most popular grimoires in the Iberian and Latin American world.
