An Illustrated Study in Magic

Israel Regardie's 1932 study of ceremonial magic as a spiritual discipline, written soon after his time as Aleister Crowley's secretary. He discusses the theory of magic, the use of ritual, invocation, evocation, talismans and divination, explaining them within a Qabalistic framework. More discursive than his later Golden Dawn compendium, it is a useful introduction to the philosophy behind modern Hermetic ritual practice.
