The Veritable Key of Solomon

by Stephen Skinner & David Rankine

Volume four of the Sourceworks of Ceremonial Magic, assembling several manuscript versions of the French 'Veritable Clavicles of Solomon' tradition, including material quite different from Mathers' Key of Solomon. Skinner and Rankine translate and compare the texts, reproduce pentacles and characters, and explain the preparatory regime, conjurations and consecrations. Useful for readers who want to see how the Clavicula Salomonis evolved across manuscripts and why no single edition represents 'the' Key of Solomon.
