Peterson's critical edition of the Lucidarium, a medieval necromantic manual ascribed to the physician-philosopher Peter of Abano, together with a fresh translation of its better-known offshoot, the Heptameron or Magical Elements. Latin text and English appear side by side with manuscript variants, tables of angels and planetary hours, and a substantial introduction tracing the text's influence on the Fourth Book of Occult Philosophy and later Solomonic practice. Valuable to scholars and practitioners alike.
