Grimorium Verum

An edition and translation of the Grimorium Verum, the 'True Grimoire', an eighteenth-century French and Italian work of spirit conjuration that names Lucifer, Beelzebuth and Astaroth as chief spirits and supplies their seals. Peterson collates several printed and manuscript versions, explains their differences, and adds related material such as the Italian 'Clavicola'. A careful, sober treatment of a notorious text, useful for readers who want the grimoire itself rather than sensational retellings.
