Solomonic Magic & the Grimoires

Secrets of the Psalms

by Godfrey Selig

An English version of Selig's German translation of the Sefer Shimmush Tehillim, the Jewish manual for the magical use of the Psalms. For each psalm it gives a purpose, such as protection on a journey, healing or success, together with the associated divine name and instructions for recitation. The text was widely reprinted in America and became important in hoodoo and folk magic. A compact source for psalm magic in the Solomonic tradition.
