The Grimoire of Armadel

Mathers' translation of a seventeenth-century French manuscript at the Arsenal library, first published long after his death. The Grimoire of Armadel presents a series of sigils associated with angels, Old Testament figures and spirits, each said to confer particular knowledge, along with brief instructions for their use. Its theological colouring sets it apart from the more demonic grimoires. A slender but distinctive text for students of the Solomonic tradition and of Mathers' work.
